25 years ago, Central began a journey

to revitalize our building to encourage fellowship, make it more welcoming for visitors, and accommodate more people. By God’s grace, we’ve been able to make good use of our building to further God’s Kingdom. We took out a mortgage and since that wonderful beginning, we’ve faithfully paid it down for 20 years.

But on January 1, 2027, the remaining balance of $1.3M, called a “balloon payment,” is due to the bank. While we’ve already saved $500,000 through our Greater Fund, we need to raise $800,000 to eliminate the mortgage and avoid costly refinancing with unfavorable interest rates.

Our goal is to raise

$800,000

by December 31, 2026

We call this effort “HELP BRING HOPE”

We are excited because the $15,000 we’re paying per month can now be invested into what matters most: people. Hurting families. Those searching for truth. The next generation of believers here and across the world. People who need Jesus.

We want to pay it off so we can pour it out!

Dream with us: when we pay off the rest of our mortgage, we can begin directing freed-up resources—and potentially additional funds raised beyond our $800,000 goal—toward bold, strategic ministry expansion. It’s not just a campaign with a slogan. This is a call to unleash new and expanded ministry that could include:

EXPANDING LOCAL & GLOBAL MISSIONS

Our church exists to bring hope to the hurting, both in our own communities and around the world. Central has an incredible opportunity to bolster our impact through strategic missions.

PURSUING OUTREACH OPPORTUNITIES

We aim to reach individuals who may never walk through church doors by offering support that meets real, felt needs in their lives, helping them navigate life with dignity and purpose.

ENHANCING OUR FACILITIES

Investing in our facilities to ensure it continues to be a welcoming center for outreach, bringing people together, connecting with the greater community, and a place to serve those who need hope.

Celebration Sunday

Central needs everyone to make HELP BRING HOPE a success!

Throughout Central’s 171 year history, faithful followers of Jesus have built the foundation of who we are. Now, we believe that God is inviting us to something greater—and this is our moment to respond with bold faith. Through your partnership in Help Bring Hope, we have the opportunity to eliminate the debt that limits our reach and unlock the full potential of our ministry.

Let’s pay off what holds us back—so we can pour out the hope of Jesus that transforms lives. It will take all of us—seeking God, listening for His voice, and surrendering fully to His call. Your gift strengthens our future, fuels our mission, and opens the door to even greater impact.

Will you take this step of faith with us?

Help Bring Hope: Frequently Asked Questions

Help Bring Hope is a Five-week giving campaign beginning on September 21 and culminating in a special pledge and First Fruits offering on October 19. The campaign’s goal is to fully pay off our mortgage by the end of 2026—freeing up significant resources to pour into bold, strategic ministry expansion.

From 2004-2008, we expanded the current building to renovate our worship center, add our large fellowship mall, and add office and nursery spaces.  That project totalled over $6 million and in 2008, we took out a $4.4 million mortgage to finance the project.

Our mortgage is due in full on January 1, 2027—a $1.3 million balloon payment. While we’ve saved $500,000 through faithful giving to the Greater Fund, we still need to raise $800,000. Paying this off now avoids costly refinancing and frees up $15,000 each month ($180,000/year!) —resources we can reinvest directly into ministry.

We could refinance, but we will have to borrow money at a very high interest rate, much higher than we have now. That would mean continuing to pay more interest and principal—money we believe could be better used to serve our mission.

For perspective, refinancing $800,000 at today’s interest rates (~7%) would cost us ~$315,000 in interest payments over 10 years. Paying it off now is the most faithful and strategic decision. It’s a chance to unlock resources now for local outreach, global missions, leadership growth, and facility improvements, and avoid costly interest payments over the next decade.

Eliminating our $15,000 monthly mortgage unlocks $180,000 a year. We plan to reinvest this into the ministry such as expanding our local and global missions budget, pursuing new outreach opportunities, and enhancing our facilities for ministry and mission. Our goal is not just to be debt-free—but to be ministry-ready.

If God provides beyond our $800K goal, in addition to paying off our mortgage, we could explore bolder ways to upgrade our facility and transform our land into a vibrant space for outreach, connection, and community life.

That’s between you and God. We’re not asking for equal gifts, but equal sacrifice. Some can give more, others less—but every act of obedience matters. Ask God what sacrifice looks like for your household, and trust Him with the answer. As Pastor Anthony leads us through a five-week series on biblical stewardship, pray that your heart remains open to hearing God’s voice and responding faithfully to what he asks you to give.

We’ll have multiple ways to give:

  • Online giving through a new dedicated fund labeled “Help Bring Hope”
  • In-person giving – designate “Help Bring Hope” on your giving envelope
  • Gifts of stock, property, or other assets are also welcome—contact the church office for details

On Sunday, October 19, during our special commitment service, we are asking everyone to make a campaign giving commitment and then bring a “first fruits” gift on that day.  Then, you can fulfill the rest of your pledge over the next 12 – 15 months. You can give in a way that works best for you—one-time, monthly, quarterly, or annually.

No, your gift should be above and beyond your regular giving. Take time to prayerfully consider what gift God is asking you to give.

That’s okay. What matters most is the heart behind the gift. Jesus praised the widow’s two small coins because they were given in faith. No gift is too small when it’s given in love and sacrifice.

Not at all. It’s about pouring into ministry and mission. Paying off the mortgage is just the beginning. This campaign unleashes new potential—for outreach, leadership, compassion, and gospel impact in Ewing and beyond.

If Central has already become a meaningful part of your spiritual journey, we’d love for you to join us. This campaign is an invitation to be part of shaping our church’s future—just like others made a way for you, you can help bring hope to someone else.
