THE FACTS: Pastor Gay, his wife Kim, and their three children - Jonathan, Joshua, and Lydia - came to Central in 1999 from Dallas, Texas. A graduate of Lancaster Bible College and Dallas Theological Seminary, Dick has a passion to see Central become a relevant, powerful, force in the community, through which lives are impacted. What excites him the most about Central is seeing lives changed on a daily basis through the power of Christ. THE HARD QUESTIONS: If I had a different job, it would be...running a bookstore/café. Best advice I could give a young person...you can't please everyone, be the person God has called you to be. My childhood ambition was...to be President of the U.S. My favorite food is...lasagna. My ideal vacation spot is...Rome, Italy. Guests at my fantasy dinner would be...Ronald Reagan, Barnabas, Mother Theresa, and Tom Landry. My biggest challenge is...learning to say no. My favorite hobby is...going to the movies with my wife. What's on my bookshelf/CD player/iPod...U2, Coldplay, Brooklyn Tab Choir. A transforming experience was...when I married Kim. |

THE FACTS: Pastor Gilmer, his wife Taifa, and their children Anthony Jr. and Nia joined the Central family in 2008. A graduate of Eastern University and Philadelphia Biblical University, Anthony's passion is to insure that every member of Central becomes more Christ-like through discipleship and education. Anthony's responsibilities include the development and oversight of the discipleship ministries, evangelism, and missions. THE HARD QUESTIONS: My favorite bible character is...Paul. Because his determination, energy and knowledge was used to advance the Kingdom of God. His testimony is of an enemy combatant turned sold out for Christ! If I had a different job it would be...a strategic planner for a nonprofit organization. Trademark saying...Oh Snap! This means "what in the world?" No one knows I still...yearn to snow board all day. Best advice I could give a young person...commit yourself to the Lord completely as soon as possible and you will live an abundant life of Joy and Peace regardless of your external circumstance. John 10:10 My childhood ambition was...to join the Marine Corps. My idea of a perfect day is...waking up on a private beach to the sound of a peaceful shore. Having prayer and devotion with my wife during breakfast, then going biking with my family on a long country road with a family-packed lunch in my back pack. Being chauffeured to a fancy restaurant for dinner and then a comedy play. Sharing my faith with the chauffeur. He accepts Christ as his personal Savior and takes us to Baskin Robbins for dessert to celebrate. My favorite food is...My wife's fried chicken and macaroni and cheese with pecan pie and vanilla ice cream for dessert. I couldn't choose one favorite food. My life verse is...Gal 2:20. I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. My favorite hobby is...biking. What's on my bookshelf/CD player/iPod...Israel New Breed is in my CD player and a Purpose Driven Church by Rick Warren is on my bookshelf. |

THE FACTS: Jeremy grew up in Mishawaka, Indiana, where he received his degree in Bible and Ministry from Bethel College. He joined Central's pastoral team in the fall of 2007. Jeremy is passionate about reaching out to students in the community and helping them take their next step towards Christ. THE HARD QUESTIONS: If I had a different job, it would be...A superhero. Or maybe a secret agent. Or maybe a Jedi. What's on my bookshelf/CD player/iPod...I've been listening to a lot of Mat Kearney, Starfield, Coldplay, Fee, and Angels and Airwaves. On the bookshelf it's The Shack, Confessions of a Pastor, and Jesus Wants To Save Christians. What I wish I had known at 20...sooner or later all that fast food was going to catch up to me, and that I should appreciate my hair...because there's less and less of it lately. My life verse is...Ephesians 3:14-21. Paul just goes on this beautiful rant about how he wants these people to know how huge and awesome God's love is, and it's a great reminder of why I do what I do. My favorite hobby is...music. If you put an instrument in front of me, I'm a happy camper. I once performed a special song at a church with a friend where my left hand played organ and my right hand played percussion. That's just weird...and somehow addicting. My significant others are...My amazing and jaw-dropping wife Stephanie, and my hilarious yet sweet 4- year-old Caden Matthew. |
